CIGNA Hires Premera Sales Veteran

CIGNA HealthCare, Bloomfield, Conn., has named Frank Monahan general manager of its operations in Kansas and Missouri.[@@]

CIGNA provides or administers medical coverage for 276,000 residents of Kansas and Missouri.

Monahan, who previously was general manager for large group sales at Premera Corp., Spokane, Wash., will be based in the St. Louis area and manage a staff of about 30. He also has worked for Aetna Inc., Hartford.

Monahan has a bachelor’s degree from La Salle University.

CIGNA HealthCare is a unit of CIGNA Corp., Philadelphia.
