Bankers Life and Casualty Company, Chicago, has named Scott Perry executive vice president and chief operating officer.[@@]
Bankers Life is a unit of Conseco Inc., Carmel, Ind., that may be best known for its long term care insurance products.
Perry, who joined Bankers Life as a field vice president in July 2001, has been the company’s senior vice president of distribution since 2002. He has been managing a sales force that includes 154 branch offices, 650 field employees and about 3,500 agents.
Perry will continue to manage distribution, and he also will take responsibility for underwriting, claims and customer service, Bankers Life says.
Perry has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Ripon College.
