American International Group Inc., New York, has put 2 executives in charge of breaking down barriers between product lines.[@@]

David Hupp, who has worked for AIG since 1970, will be the AIG Companies Senior Executive ? Eastern Region, and Vincent Masucci, who has worked for the company since 1972, will be the AIG Companies Senior Executive ? Western Region.

The executives “will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities that intersect the AIG Companies’ multiple lines of business within its domestic operations,” AIG says.

AIG is hoping the executives will find new ways to sell products such as retirement services, life insurance and property-casualty insurance.

Hupp has been a zonal senior vice president in AIG’s domestic brokerage group since 1999, and Masucci has been a zonal senior vice president in the domestic brokerage group since 1993.

Matthew Power will take over from Hupp in the East. In the West, Mayra Guffin will take over for Masucci, AIG says.
