Bankers Life and Casualty Company, Chicago, has hired John Wells to be senior vice president of operations.[@@]
Wells previously was senior vice president of the customer service and Medicare divisions at Mutual of Omaha, Neb. At Bankers Life, he will be responsible for managing customer service, underwriting, new business, claims, operations support and administration.
Wells has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Auburn University. He holds the certified public accountant professional designation.
Bankers Life is a unit of Conseco Inc., Carmel, Ind.
