NEW YORK–(HedgeWorld.com) Madison Capital Management LLC, has appointed Kristina Smorol as a portfolio director.
Ms. Smorol will work primarily on investments in real estate securities for Madison’s joint venture with Pramerica’s real estate investment management arm and other funds managed by Madison. The joint venture concentrates on nontraditional real estate investment.
Ms. Smorol has worked for TIAA-CREF, Scotia Capital and Commerzbank AG. She speaks German and French in addition to English.
“We hired Kristina for her distinguished and multi-faceted background and extensive knowledge of real estate-related investing,” said Bryan Gordon, chairman and managing director of Madison, in a statement. “Real estate continues to be a primary industry focus for Madison, as it has been since the firm’s inception in 1996. Additionally, Kristina’s excellent foreign language skills will be a great advantage as Madison analyzes investment opportunities across Europe.”
