Bankers Life of New York, Woodbury, N.Y., has introduced a whole life insurance product for sale in New York state.[@@]
The new Landmark Whole Life product offers permanent life insurance protection and policy performance guarantees, Bankers Life says.
Bankers Life, a unit of AmerUs Group Inc., Des Moines, Iowa, says the product could be used to fund 412(i) defined benefit pension plans for small businesses.
The product also is suitable for the personal life insurance and estate planning markets, Bankers Life says.
