New York Life Insurance Company has announced that Joseph Gilmour will become president and chief executive of New York Life International effective Mar. 1, 2005.[@@]
Gilmour will replace Gary G. Benanav, who will remain chairman of the company, which is New York Life’s overseas subsidiary, until March 1, 2006.
Gilmour last year was named executive vice president and chief financial officer of New York Life International. The company is based in Hong Kong and also has operations in India, Mexico, the Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Argentina and China.
He had previously been with Canada Life Assurance Company, where he was senior vice president of the international and reinsurance division.
