Allianz Healthcare Risk Management, Minneapolis, has hired Dr. Gail Bender to be a consulting medical director.[@@]
Bender will help Allianz Healthcare, a unit of Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America, Minneapolis, evaluate transplant programs that want to participate in the company’s transplant provider network.
Bender also will analyze trends in medical care and technology that might affect the company’s health plan reinsurance operation.
Bender has a medical degree from the University of Minnesota and is a board-certified oncologist. She has been in private practice for 22 years.
Allianz Life is a unit of Allianz A.G., Munich.
