John Hancock Financial Services Inc., Boston, has introduced a credit card payment option for long term care insurance premiums.[@@]

New LTC policyholders can use the option to pay monthly or quarterly premium bills using Visa or MasterCard credit cards, Hancock says.

The credit card payment option is available with the Custom Care II and Essential Care II LTC insurance products.

Hancock, a unit of Manulife Financial Corp., Toronto, says it believes it is the only “top 5″ LTC carrier that lets policyholders pay premiums by credit card.
