New Orleans Insurer Prepares For Ivan

Pan-American Life Insurance Company, New Orleans, has responded to warnings about Hurricane Ivan by shutting its offices down at least until Friday.[@@]

“While it is uncertain where Hurricane Ivan may hit, Pan-American Life is making preparations in the event the storm should affect our operations or employees,” says Todd Schexnayder, the company’s senior vice president of human resources and corporate services.

The company will record up-to-date information on a telephone hotline at (866) 725-4241.
