Dow Jones, CBN Launch New Index

CHICAGO (HedgeWorld.com)–Dow Jones Indexes and the China Business Network Co. Ltd. have teamed up to launch a new index covering Chinese stocks.

The Dow Jones CBN China 600 Index includes 600 A-share stocks of the largest companies on the Shanghai Stock Exchange and the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, according to a statement from Dow Jones and China Business Network. Companies are selected for inclusion in the index according to their float-adjusted market capitalization.

The index is calculated in local currency, the Chinese renminbi.
