John Hancock Financial Services Inc., Boston, has introduced a long term care insurance program for small businesses.[@@]

The new Corporate Solutions program will sell individual LTC insurance at the worksite.

Employers can pay for the LTC insurance themselves, let employees pay for the coverage, or offer an employee-paid program for rank-and-file workers along with an employer-paid carveout for executives, Hancock says.

Hancock, a unit of Manulife Financial Corp., Toronto, says its existing Sponsored Group Program is better suited to meet the needs of associations and some companies that want a year-round enrollment system.
