Delaware Investments, Philadelphia, has hired Philip Russo to be chief financial officer.[@@]

Russo previously was vice president of finance at Prudential Investment Management Inc., a unit of Prudential Financial Inc., Newark, N.J.

Russo, who has a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in business from Rutgers University, succeeds Joseph Hastings, Delaware Investments’ interim CFO. Hastings has been Delaware Investments’ interim CFO since David Downes retired in late 2003.

Delaware Investments is a unit of Lincoln Financial Corp., Philadelphia.
