N.Y. Life To Promote Oleske To Chief Tax Counsel

New York Life Insurance Company, New York, has named Michael Oleske to take over as chief tax counsel.[@@]

Oleske will succeed Gerald Kaplan when Kaplan retires in October.

Oleske joined New York Life in 1986 as assistant tax counsel, and he has been a first vice president at the company since 2003.

Oleske has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and English from Fordham University and a law degree from St. John’s University. He also has a master’s degree in tax law from New York University.
