Sun Life Adds New Funds To VUL Products

Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada (U.S. ) is expanding investment subaccount choices available to buyers of its variable universal life insurance products.[@@]

The Wellesley Hills, Mass. company, a unit of Sun Life Financial Inc., Toronto, announced that Ibbotson Associates has created five model portfolios for the carrier’s Futurity series of VUL policies. Each model offers a broad selection of investment subaccounts with different degrees of risk, Sun Life says.

The company has also added 12 new funds to its Futurity policies.

Ibbotson, Chicago, also developed five new asset allocation models for Sun Life’s Masters line of variable annuities.
