Old Mutual Financial Network, Baltimore, has completed previously announced plans to move its main sales office to Alpharetta, Ga., from Baltimore.[@@]

Most other operations are staying in Baltimore, but moving the sales office to a city with better airline connections should help Old Mutual Financial get closer to its life and annuity distributors, the company says.

The company reports it also will be consolidating 2 of its 4 sales channels with the other 2 channels. The 2 remaining distribution channels are the life distribution channel and the annuity distribution channel.

Old Mutual Financial is the parent of Fidelity and Guaranty Life Insurance Company, Baltimore, and Americom Life and Annuity Insurance Company, Kansas City, Mo. Old Mutual P.L.C., London, acquired Fidelity & Guaranty and Americom in 2001.
