MetLife Inc., New York, has developed a Web-based tool that can help agents and employers increase supplemental life participation rates.[@@]

One way to boost participation rates is to combine supplemental group life with services that employees can use immediately, such as will preparation or travel assistance services, MetLife says.

Other strategies include offering a separate enrollment period for supplemental life insurance, educating employees about the value of life information and communicating with employees through a variety of channels.
