Assurant Health Chairman Plans To Retire

Assurant Health, Milwaukee, is losing its chairman, Benjamin Cutler.[@@]

Cutler, 59, a past chairman of the Health Insurance Association of America, Washington, will be retiring at the end of August, according to Assurant Health’s parent company, Assurant Inc., New York.

Cutler was president of Assurant Health, a major player in the individual and small group health insurance markets, from 1996 to 2002. He became chairman of the unit in January 2003.

Cutler serves on the board of America’s Health Insurance Plans, Washington, a group formed through the merger of the HIAA with the American Association of Health Plans, Washington.
