Private Healthcare Systems Inc., Waltham, Mass., has agreed to acquire American LIFECARE, New Orleans.[@@]

American LIFECARE manages provider networks in Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee that include about 17,000 doctors and 400 hospitals.

Private Healthcare, a company that manages provider networks that represent 425,000 doctors and 3,700 hospitals and clinics, plans to market its new New Orleans unit as “American LIFECARE, a division of Private Healthcare Systems.”
