LIMRA International, Windsor, Conn., says Robert Kerzner will be succeeding Richard Wecker as its president in the fall.[@@]

LIMRA is a major nonprofit life insurance industry research consortium that has a staff of 200 and offices in London, Melbourne, Shanghai and Toronto.

Wecker, who spent 26 years at New York Life Insurance Company, New York, has been president of LIMRA since 1997. He decided to retire months ago, a LIMRA spokesman says.

Kerzner is the former head of the individual life division at Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., Hartford.

Kerzner began working for Hartford in 1974 and spent 20 years there in field sales and management. In 1994, he became an executive in the home office of the company’s life insurance unit. He also has served as president of Hartford’s Woodbury Financial Services broker-dealer unit.

Kerzner has a bachelor’s degree from Central Connecticut State University. He holds the Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant professional designations.
