Eastbridge: More Brokers Sell Voluntary Products

Most benefits brokers now sell employee-paid benefits.[@@]

Eastbridge Consulting Group Inc., Avon, Conn., has included that finding in a new report on worksite insurance distribution.

The percentage of benefits brokers who offer voluntary benefits has increased to more than 90% this year, up from 70% in 2001, Eastbridge says.

Eastbridge researchers are basing that figure on a recent survey of more than 500 benefits brokers and a comparable survey conducted in 2001.
