Mutual of Omaha will be using another company to run part of its group dental business.[@@]

The Omaha, Neb., insurer is joining with United Concordia Companies Inc., Harrisburg, Pa., to start a new DentaBenefits group dental program that will sell employee-paid coverage as well as employer-paid coverage.

The program will replace Mutual of Omaha dental plans in many markets starting Nov. 1, Mutual of Omaha says.

Mutual of Omaha will handle marketing and client service for the program, but United Concordia will underwrite the policies, maintain the provider networks and process claims.

The DentaBenefits network will include 62,000 dentists, Mutual of Omaha says.
