Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company, Springfield, Mass., will help sponsor a Disability Awareness Night tonight at a baseball game in Pittsburgh.[@@]

MassMutual will be joining with Psy-Ed Corp., River Edge, N.J., the publisher of Exceptional Parent Magazine, to promote the abilities of people with disabilities at the game, which features the Pittsburgh Pirates and the St. Louis Cardinals.

MassMutual also will be promoting the financial planning services its advisors can offer parents of children with disabilities. The company is drawing attention to its local agency by donating 250 game tickets to local nonprofit groups.

Exceptional Parent Magazine began the Disability Awareness Night program in 2002. That year, the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox were the only participants. This year, with MassMutual’s help, 27 of the 30 teams are hosting Disability Awareness Night events.
