Ceres Group Inc., Cleveland, has hired Ernie Giambra to be chief marketing officer at its medical insurance and senior products units.[@@]
Giambra previously was a financial advisor at Wachovia Securities, a unit of Wachovia Corp., Charlotte, N.C. From 1969 to 1993, he worked for Bankers Life and Casualty Company, Chicago, and from 1993 to 1996, he was chief marketing officer at Pioneer Financial Services, a unit of Pioneer Life Insurance Company, Schaumburg, Ill. Bankers Life and Pioneer now are both units of Conseco Inc., Carmel, Ind.
Giambra holds the Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant and Registered Health Underwriter professional designations.
