Supporters of the new health savings account program have scheduled an update on the program for 9 a.m. June 21 in Chicago.[@@]
The scheduled speakers include U.S. House Speaker J. Dennis Hastert, a Republican from Illinois, as well as Don Hamm, president of the health insurance arm of Assurant Inc., New York.
The speakers will talk about the consumers who are buying HSAs, the reasons consumers are buying HSAs and the implications HSAs have for the future of the U.S. health care system, organizers say.
