NU Online News Service, June 10, 2004, 4:10 p.m. EDT – CIGNA Corp., Philadelphia, will be marketing a Health Advisor personal health coaching program to large employer groups starting in January 2005.[@@]

When an employer signs up for the program, CIGNA will assign a group of nurses to serve as personal health coaches and benefits experts for that employer’s employees.

The nurses will get detailed information about the employer’s benefit plans. The plans will talk to plan members over the telephone and communicate with them through electronic mail to help them improve their health and understand their benefits, CIGNA says.

The new program offers a higher ratio of nurses to employees than traditional case-management programs do, CIGNA says.
