Sun Life Develops VUL-Based Retirement Program

NU Online News Service, June 9, 2004, 1:20 p.m. EDT – Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada (U.S.), Wellesley Hills, Mass., has introduced a supplemental retirement income planning program.[@@]

The company, a unit of Sun Life Financial Inc., Toronto, is aiming the program at small businesses and basing it on the Sun Life Assurance Futurity Accumulator II Variable Universal Life Insurance policy.

Sun Life Assurance has developed a program sales kit that includes a retirement planning fact finder, a package of client prospecting letters, a life insurance benefits comparison sheet, and a presentation and brochure that producers can use to explain the program to prospects.

In New York, Sun Life Financial issues the Futurity VUL policy through Sun Life Insurance and Annuity Company of New York, New York.
