NU Online News Service, June 9, 2004, 1:13 p.m. EDT – A unit of Minnesota Mutual Life Insurance Company, St. Paul, Minn., is helping to start a national indemnity dental insurance program for small and midsize employers.[@@]

Minnesota Mutual’s Securian Life subsidiary is teaming with DeCare Dental Health International L.L.C., Eagan, Minn., to form the new Securian Dental program.

The joint venture will offer employers with at least 2 employees a choice of 3 employer-paid and 3 employee-paid plan designs. All plans cover 100% of diagnostic and preventive services. Benefits for most services have no waiting periods.

The plans also include international emergency coverage.

Program organizers recently hired Gary White to manage the new dental program. White, Security Dental’s chief sales officer, previously was senior vice president of marketing at World Insurance Company, Omaha, Neb.
