NU Online News Service, June 3, 2004, 12:44 p.m. EDT – New Jersey is letting a unit of AXA S.A., Paris, market investments to members of 2 large state retirement programs.[@@]

New Jersey has awarded The Equitable Life Assurance Society of the United States, New York, a 5-year contract to serve as an investment carrier for the state’s Alternative Benefit 401(a) retirement program and the state’s Additional Contributions Tax-Sheltered Annuity 403(b) retirement program.

The programs serve state college and university employees and employees of the state Department of Higher Education.
