NU Online News Service, May 26, 2004, 2:01 p.m. EDT – International Medical Group Inc., Indianapolis, has agreed to buy the old Indianapolis Life Insurance Company home office complex from AmerUs Group Company Inc., Des Moines, Iowa.[@@]

The price of the complex, which is in the “near north side” neighborhood in Indianapolis, was not available.

AmerUs ended up with the 12-acre Historic Square property, which includes the Fairbanks and Levey mansions as well as the Indianapolis Life office building, when it acquired Indianapolis Life in 2001.

IMG, a company that designs and manages international health benefits, says it is buying Historic Square because it has outgrown its current offices.
