Insurance Publisher Dies

NU Online News Service, May 18, 2004, 2:51 p.m. EDT – William Howard, chairman of Insurance Publications and Broker World Magazine, died Saturday while on a flight to his home in Oregon.[@@]

Howard was returning from New York, where he was serving as a judge in a competition sponsored by the Life and Health Insurance Foundation for Education, Washington. Howard was helping the foundation evaluate “realLIFE stories” about how life, health, disability and long term care insurance have helped people get through difficult financial times.

Services for Howard will be 1 p.m. Thursday at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Funeral Home in Overland Park, Kan.
