NEW YORK (Hedgeworld.com)–Zemach Sternberg joined Deutsche Bank’s Global Equity Derivatives group as a managing director and head of global quantitative trading.

In this newly created position, Mr. Sternberg will be building the global equity derivatives quantitative trading platform worldwide. He is reporting to Yassine Bouhara, head of global equity derivatives and initially will focus on developing the Deutsche Bank’s U.S. market presence.

Prior to his hiring at Deutsche Bank, Mr. Sternberg ran his own private trading firm. Before that, he was a managing director within the equity derivatives group at Salomon Brothers.

Ralph Reynolds, global head of equity trading at Deutsche Bank, in a statement said that the hire underscores the bank’s commitment to the equity derivatives market.
