The National Association of Insurance Commissioners, Kansas City, Mo., recently announced changes to the Securities Valuation Office.

Among the changes to the unit, based in New York, is the establishment of an investment research unit to coordinate projects requested by state insurance regulators. Those projects, according to the NAIC, will help regulators look at trends that could flag financial risks for insurance companies.

The NAIC also said that the SVO will relocate its offices to 48 Wall Street by July 23.
