NU Online News Service, April 21, 2004, 11:21 a.m. EDT – Severe acute respiratory syndrome may still be a significant risk for life reinsurers.[@@]

The spread of SARS is one of the risks that could keep the stock of Reinsurance Group of America Inc., Chesterfield, Mo., from reaching a price of $44 per share, according to J. Jeffrey Hopson, a life and health stock analyst at A.G. Edwards & Sons Inc., St. Louis.

RGA shares have been selling for a price of about $39 to $42 per share.
