Watson Wyatt Spins Off Consulting Unit

NU Online News Service, March 29, 2004, 10:53 a.m. EST – Watson Wyatt L.L.P., London, is selling a Boston consulting unit to 2 of the unit’s managers.[@@]

Watson Wyatt L.L.P., the British half of Watson Wyatt Worldwide, says the buyers, Karin Landry and John Cassell, will rename the unit Spring Consulting Group L.L.C. The unit will continue to provide high-level consulting services for life insurers, health insurers, disability insurers, retirement services companies and owners of captive insurers.

The deal price was not available.

The U.S. arm of Watson Wyatt L.L.P., a sister company of Watson Wyatt & Company, Washington, will focus on selling actuarial consulting services.
