NU Online News Service, March 23, 2004, 11:35 a.m. EST – Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, New York, is reintroducing its Guardian Advantage group variable annuity.[@@]

Guardian sells the annuity as a funding vehicle for retirement plans and issues it through its Guardian Insurance & Annuity Company Inc. unit.

Guardian temporarily suspended new sales of the annuity more than a year ago.

The company says it will be making the annuity more competitive by updating the Web-based participant education and planning tools that go with the annuity and distributing the updated annuity through an independent wholesaler, Distribution Partners L.L.C., Dublin, Ohio.
