CIGNA Offers Wellness Discounts

NU Online News Service, March 18, 2004, 1:54 p.m. EST – CIGNA HealthCare, Bloomfield, Conn., wants to cut the cost of wellness.[@@]

The company’s free Healthy Rewards wellness incentive program has added discounts on weight-loss and smoking-cessation programs.

The program now offers free registration for traditional Weight Watchers meetings; a $10 discount on the $59.95 cost of a 3-month Weight Watchers Online subscription; a 35% discount on the $99 price for an annual QuitNet smoking-cessation network membership; and a 50% discount on the $281 retail price for the Tobacco Solutions smoking-cession program.

Plan members who join the Tobacco Solutions program will get an 8-week supply of nicotine patches, CIGNA HealthCare says.

CIGNA HealthCare is a unit of CIGNA Corp., Philadelphia.
