Insurance Exec To Serve On N.J. Commission

NU Online News Service, March 16, 2004, 1:44 p.m. EST – New Jersey Gov. James McGreevey has named a life insurance executive to the state’s Asian-American Commission.[@@]

The new commission member is M. Nasim Ali, executive vice president, marketing and sales, at SBLI USA Mutual Life Insurance Company Inc., New York.

Ali will be the vice chairman of the commission’s community outreach committee, SBLI says.

Ali, a U.S. citizen who was born in Bangladesh, began working for SBLI in 1999. He has a bachelor’s degree from the London School of Economics.
