NU Online News Service, Jan. 21, 2004, 12:46 p.m. EST – BISYS Group Inc., New York, has hired Russell Fradin to be its president and chief executive.[@@]

BISYS sells support services to insurers and other financial services companies.

Fradin succeeds Dennis Sheehan, who announced in October 2002 that he would have to resign as president of BISYS for medical reasons.

“We would like to thank Dennis for his significant contributions and years of dedicated service,” says BISYS Chairman Lynn Mangum. “Dennis’ vision and leadership were instrumental in establishing and growing BISYS’ strategic portfolio of businesses, and we wish him future success and good health.”

Fradin previously was the president of the global employer services group at Automatic Data Processing Inc., Roseland, N.J. He also spent 18 years working as a product strategy consultant in the New Jersey office of McKinsey & Company Inc. He has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in business from Harvard University.
