Soccer Pro Turns Financial Advisor

NU Online News Service, Jan. 15, 2004, 4:14 p.m. EST – The Financial Solutions Network L.L.C., Dublin, Ohio, has hired Tom Presthus, a former star soccer player, to be a financial advisor.[@@]

Presthus, a goalkeeper who spent 3 seasons playing for The Columbus Crew, decided to change careers after an injury to his right elbow forced him to undergo ligament replacement surgery. Even though the surgery was successful, the long recovery period motivated Presthus to make the change, Financial Solutions says.

Presthus has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Southern Methodist University.

Presthus’ new employer, the Financial Solutions Network, is a unit of Securian Financial Network Inc., St. Paul, Minn.
