NU Online News Service, Jan. 12, 2004, 11:03 a.m. EST – Fortis Inc., New York, has named Larry Cains to be the company’s senior vice president of investor relations.[@@]
Fortis, now a unit of Fortis, Brussels, notes that its parent company plans to spin it off as Assurant Inc., a stand-alone company that will sell specialized insurance and insurance-related products.
Cains, who has worked for Fortis Inc. for 16 years, previously was the company’s senior vice president for finance.
Cains has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Long Island University. He holds the Certified Public Accountant professional designation.
