Farewell To Lisa Howard

After over 18 years with National Underwriter, including more than a decade covering the London market, Lisa Howard resigned as international editor last month to accept a job doing internal communications for a major reinsurer.

After establishing a reputation for digging deep and securing scoops here in the U.S. as NUs regulatory beat reporter, Lisa accepted an assignment to London to tackle a market that was not exactly friendly to journalistic scrutiny, especially by Americans.

Yet in short order, Lisa put NU on the map, not only in London but throughout Europe. She soon became an impact player in her own right with her breaking news and in-depth features.
