Great-West To Use ProxyMedPlanVista Repricing

NU Online News Service, Dec. 8, 2003, 12:33 p.m. EST – Great-West Healthcare, Denver, has agreed to hire ProxyMed Inc., Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and PlanVista Corp., Tampa, Fla., to reprice hospital and physician claims for its preferred provider network.[@@]

ProxyMed and PlanVista, which recently agreed to market their services together, says Great-West is the first client signed through the joint marketing partnership.

The terms of the deal were not immediately available, but Great-West is a large managed care company that administers health coverage for about 2 million U.S. residents.

Great-West is a unit of the Power Corporation of Canada, Montreal.
