NU Online News Service, Nov. 24, 2003, 5:02 p.m. EST – OppenheimerFunds Inc., a unit of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company, Springfield, Mass., has sponsored the publication of the third edition of “A Women’s Guide To Investing.”[@@]

The book discusses topics such as basic financial planning, investing, working with advisors, buying insurance, coping with events such as divorce, and meeting the needs of family members who have handicaps.

The new version includes information about 529 college saving plans along with fresh survey data and anecdotes about female investors and female business owners.

Lightbulb Press Inc., New York, managed the revision process.

OppenheimerFunds already has donated $25,000 in anticipated profits to the Girl Scouts of the U.S.A., New York, and another $25,000 in anticipated profits to Girls Inc., New York, a nonprofit group that develops economic literacy programs for girls.
