NU Online News Service, Nov. 21, 2003, 1:20 p.m. EST – Jackson National Life Insurance Company, Lansing, Mich., announced it has added four regional vice presidents to lead its wholesalers and product specialists in various regions throughout the country.

Jackson National says the appointments are part of a series of moves to reinforce its share of the U.S. life insurance market. As part of that effort, the company earlier this year introduced a universal life product, JNL Generations, and a term life policy, JNL Protector, and added to its product management and wholesaling teams.

The new executives will work with the company’s internal life sales specialists to identify new prospects and strengthen existing producer relationships with customers through product support.

The new executives are James Aspell, based in Clearwater, Fla., and responsible for life sales throughout that state; Mark A. Ballenger II, 29, located in Denver and responsible for Colorado, Wyoming, Kansas and western Nebraska; Martin Krager, who will support the company’s life products in banks throughout the western U.S.; and N.S. Miller III, who will support Jackson National’s sales efforts in Virginia, Washington, Maryland and West Virginia.

“There are significant opportunities for us to expand our life distribution efforts in each of these regions,” says Doug Campbell, senior vice president and national sales director for life products.
