NU Online News Service, Nov. 10, 2003, 4:31 p.m. EST – Legionnaire Insurance Trust, Santa Barbara, Calif., has agreed to let Bankers Life and Casualty Company, Chicago, market long term care insurance and Medicare supplement insurance to American Legion members in most U.S. states.
Bankers Life will start a direct mail campaign to Legion members this month in all states except Illinois, Nebraska, New York, South Carolina and Washington.
Bankers Life, a unit of Conseco Inc., Carmel, Ind., expects the campaign to reach 1.5 million Legion members and relatives of members.
