Lautzenheiser Takes Over As Actuarial Academy President

NU Online News Service, Nov. 5, 2003, 5:49 p.m. EST – The American Academy of Actuaries, Washington, has confirmed Barbara Lautzenheiser as president.

Lautzenheiser, principal of Lautzenheiser & Associates, Hartford, succeeds Robert Anker as head of the influential group.

The academy’s 15,000 members picked former Utah Insurance Commissioner Robert Wilcox to be president-elect.

The new vice presidents are Kenneth Kent of Washington, who will be the vice president responsible for the academy’s pension practice council; Donna Claire of Fort Saratoga, N.Y., who will be the vice president responsible for the life practice council; and Burton Jay of Omaha, Neb., who will be the vice president responsible for the financial reporting council.
