Financial planning fees: Clients are charged for their initial plan based on the hours required to complete the plan. Every subsequent year, clients are charged an annual retainer fee equal to one-third of their initial planning fee

Fee for managing assets: A sliding scale starting at 0.9% on the first $100,000 down to 0.125% on anything over $3.2 million. The average asset management fee is approximately 0.5% per year.

Hourly fee: $150-$175

Client demographics: 40% are doctors, 25% are people living on investment income (retirees, widows, divorcees), and 10% are profit-sharing plans; the rest are architects, attorneys, and business owners.
