Independence Holding Reports Higher 3Q Net Income

NU Online News Service, Oct. 31, 2003, 3:38 p.m. EST – Independence Holding Company, Stamford, Conn., says growth in in-force business and favorable loss ratios helped it increase its third quarter net income.

The life and health insurance holding company is reporting $4.5 million in net income for the latest quarter on $48 million in revenue, up from $4.3 million in net income on $47 million in revenue for the third quarter of 2002.
