NU Online News Service, Oct. 24, 2003, 9:53 a.m. EDT – Zurich Financial Services Group Inc., Zurich, has hired Paul van de Geijn to be chief executive of its life business.
Van de Geijn previously spent 11 years working as a top executive at AEGON N.V., The Hague, Netherlands.
AEGON gave Van de Geijn responsibility for its U.S. operations in 2002. From 2000 to 2002 he was chairman of the Dutch Association of Insurers.
Van de Geijn says in a statement that he is leaving AEGON to help Zurich cope with challenging times.
